Comfortable seating areas

Invest in a comfortable lounge set under your awning or canopy or pergola to make your outdoor area really inviting. Add colourful and weatherproof cushions for extra comfort and a summery look. And don’t forget to add an outdoor rug, to finish it all off.

Lounge sets, cushions, hammocks and hanging chairs are perfect for creating relaxing areas in the garden. For ultimate relaxation, you could even consider a hammock or hanging chair. They are perfect for kicking back on a summer’s day, relaxing with a good book or enjoying a refreshing drink. With these elements, you can transform your garden or terrace into an oasis of calm and style, which you can enjoy all summer long.

Awning or pergola?

Awnings and pergolas are an excellent solution for creating shade in your garden or on the terrace. They come in a range of styles and offer flexible shade options and protection against various weather conditions.

As well as practical awnings and canopies, a wooden pergola with climbing plants such as vines, climbing roses or wisteria create a green oasis of relaxation. However, these offer limited protection against rain and wind, require regular maintenance and offer less shade than other options. Also, wooden pergolas often take up more space and this can be a disadvantage for smaller gardens or terraces. This is not the case with a sun canopy or awning.

Add warmth in the evenings

In the evening, you can use atmospheric lighting to make your garden or terrace feel cosy and welcoming. Solar powered LED lights, lanterns or lamps can help to create a warm, inviting atmosphere. Hang them in trees, along fences or around the seating area. You can make your outdoor areas even cosier with a pergola fitted with LED lighting, e.g. LED lighting in the fabric profile of a folding roof or LED spotlights in a slatted roof. Sun canopies and awnings can also be fitted with LED lighting. Depending on the model, they can sit in the box, the folding arms or in the extension pole. It’s up to you. For extra warmth on cooler evenings, fire pits and torches are lovely. But, if you’re after something that’s a bit easier, opt for electric heating elements.

Cocoon yourself

Discover the versatility of glass or wooden decorative walls for your pergola or garden awning! They offer enhanced privacy, protection against wind for greater comfort, and aesthetic appeal. They also provide acoustic insulation, the option to define specific rooms, and can be used to hide unattractive elements. You can even opt for built-in or built-on screens with your awning. And, as the sun goes down? No problem – lower the screen a little and protect yourself against sunlight and damaging UV rays when the sun is low in the sky.

An awning offers extra privacy when you need it. By choosing a valance or vario valance, you can keep the rest of the world out with a screen that rolls down on the awning’s extension pole. This protects you from curious glances, keeps the sun at bay and creates additional shade on your terrace.

Ready for the summer!

The weather may be a little unpredictable but, with the right preparations, you are ready to enjoy long summer days and cosy evenings in your very own green paradise. So, what are you waiting for? Get to work and prepare your garden or terrace for an unforgettable summer season!
